Police have arrested a suspect in last week’s horrible hit-and-run accident in Miami, Florida. The accident killed three people and injured one more.
Cedric Williams, 48, was arrested by police for his connection to a deadly wreck that occurred earlier this month at the intersection of Northeast Second Avenue and 82nd Street in Miami.
Williams was speeding from police when he ran a red light and crashed into a Honda Civic. The T-bone accident killed Robert Wissler, the driver, and Lindsey Ennis and Kayla Bain, two passengers. A third passenger, Robert Judd, was injured in the wreck.
Williams was drunk at the time of the accident, as well as driving with an expired license. Williams is a registered sex offender with several prior felony convictions including burglary, battery and cocaine possession.
Williams originally fled the crash scene. However, police followed a blood trail to his house where the arrest was made. He has been charged with three counts of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
Our sympathies go out to all of those affected by this tragic accident. We hope justice is served swiftly and strongly in this case.
