You want someone who’s going to be there fighting for you on a daily basis. There are lawyers who are afraid to step into a courtroom, either because they’re afraid of the trial itself or they don’t want to spend time to get to that point. You need to know that your lawyer is there fighting for you every step of the way. You want someone who’s going to give you personal attention and isn’t going to pawn you off on another lower-level associate in your office, or a paralegal, or secretary. You want to know that when you’re hiring that lawyer, that lawyer is going to be the one working on your case from start to finish.
