ABC Local 10 News reports that a woman drove away from a crash to get a massage. 53-year-old Jill Ann Stahon was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving injury. The charges stem from an accident that occurred on October 15th. Stahon made a U-turn of Alafaya Trail, then hit a truck in the far-right lane. She then fled the scene of the crash without stopping.
The people inside the pickup truck suffered from minor injuries. They followed Stahon, who was driving a white Toyota Corolla. She turned into a shopping plaza and walked into Tenpenny Chiropractor. Stahon went inside and got a massage. She never informed the staff of the crash or attempted to get help.
Deputies arrived on the scene and questioned Stahon, who denied being in an accident. Deputies then took her outside, where the victims identified her as being responsible for the accident. Deputies also compared damage to her vehicle with the details of the accident and found them consistent. Stahon told deputies that the damage to her vehicle was from an accident that took place about a month earlier. They arrested Stahon and booked her into John E. Polk Correctional Facility.
