The Villages News reports that a driver was cited for failure to yield following an accident which required a passenger to be extricated from the vehicle.
The crash occurred on June 11th at approximately 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 466 and Morse Boulevard.
The Florida Highway Patrol indicated that a 2010 Buick LaCrosse driven by 62-year-old Carolyn Dafoe Hubert was traveling east in the left turn lane of CR 466. She turned towards Morse Boulevard in the path of a 2018 Nissan driven by 21-year-old Riley Elizabeth Heise.
86-year-old Dorothy White Webb had to be freed from the vehicle by cutting the door. She suffered from serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Heise suffered from injuries in the crash as well and was also transported to a local hospital.
Hubert received a citation for failure to yield as a result of the accident.
