When someone makes an appointment to go to a beauty shop or nail salon, getting into an auto accident is probably the last thing on their mind. However, for some salon goers in Keller, that’s precisely what happened when a car crashed through the front of the salon, injuring at least one person inside.
NBCDFW reports that at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16th, a gray Mercedes SUV crashed through the front of the A&T Nail Salon located in the 900 block of Keller Parkway. The vehicle came to a stop at the back of the business.
A spokesperson from the Keller Fire Department told NBC that the crash left the occupant of the vehicle trapped inside and a worker who was inside the building at the time of the crash. Firefighters were able to free both people from the wreckage and debris.
All of the other patrons and workers inside the nail salon were able to get out safely.
The worker who was trapped inside the salon was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries and current condition were not disclosed at the time of the report.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt in the crash.
Emergency and wrecker service crews responded to the crash scene to remove the vehicle from inside the nail salon.
Keller City Officials are expected to inspect the building to learn the extent of structural damage.
The accident is currently under investigation.
