ClickOrlando.com / Channel 6 News reported recently that a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 along the eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in Orlando, FL led to congestion in the Orlando area after a truck fire near the Kaley Avenue exit.
According to officials from the Orlando Police Department and representatives from Orlando Fire Rescue, the incident occurred between 2:00 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. A pest control truck headed east on Interstate 4 apparently caught fire, and photos from the scene show a charred, melted hulk. Orlando Pollice had to bring in special equipment to remove the vehicle due to the pest control chemicals it carried.
No statement has been made regarding the cause of the fire, but officials did state no one was hurt. All traffic lanes were closed, although officers were able to direct a trickle of traffic through the scene utilizing the shoulder of the roadway,
WKRG CBS Channel 5 News reported that a head-on motor vehicle collision on Cervantes Street in Pensacola closed the roadway for an hour or so on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 near the on-ramp to Interstate 110. At least one person was injured and medically transported to a local hospital.
