ClickOrlando.com / Channel 6 News reported recently that a pedestrian was struck by a car in the Orange County area of central Florida on the evening of Sunday, April 11, 2021.
According to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred in the eastbound lane of Colonial Drive near Masood Lane, in Orange County, on the evening of Sunday, April 11, 2021. A pedestrian was walking along the side of the roadway when, according to an eyewitness, a car swerved off the side of the road for unknown reasons still under investigation and struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian reportedly died at the scene of the accident, which remains under investigation.
Patch reported that two separate incidents along FL State Roads 54 in Pasco County led to two fatalities on the afternoon of Saturday, April 10, 2021.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the first incident happened along SR 54 between 2:30 p.m. and 2:35 p.m. Eastern Standard Time when a Brooksville man 34 years of age was driving west on SR 54 and died in a head-on collision after crossing the median for unknown reasons still under investigation. The second incident happened around 4:00 p.m. EST when a man from Lutz, 50 years of age, was riding a motorcycle east on SR 54 and attempted to pass another motorist, but collided with the rear of the SUV he was passing. He died after being taken to a local hospital.
