The Sun Coast News reported recently that both drivers were killed in a two-vehicle car accident along Eiland Boulevard in Zephyrhills on the morning of Sunday, April 25, 2021.
According to a press release issued by officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred between 6:45 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Sunday, April 25, 2021 along Eiland Boulevard at the intersection of Eiland Boulevard and Skipper Lane, just west of Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills, a town in Pasco County.”
“An SUV driven by a Zephyrhills man 21 years of age was westbound on Eiland Blvd, just east of Skipper Lane, while a sedan driven by a woman from Williamstown, NY, 65 years of age, was headed east on Eiland Blvd. For unknown reasons still under investigation, the SUV crossed the centerline of the roadway and entered the eastbound lane, colliding head-on with the sedan. The impact caused the SUV to rotate and overturn, while the sedan also rotated and then struck a mailbox on the southern shoulder of the road. “
“The sedan driver died at the scene of the accident, while the SUV driver died after being transported to an area hospital. The accident remains under investigation.”
