A motorcycle crash claimed the life of a man from Lakeland, Florida, when his bike collided with an SUV. The accident occurred on Thursday, November 24, at 9:05 p.m., in the 3100 block of South Florida Avenue. According to the Lakeland Police Department, traffic was blocked for three hours following the crash, which is under investigation.

As stated in The Ledger, it is unknown whether the victim, Kyle Bradley Conord Roberts, age 31, was wearing a helmet as he was riding his black 2009 Suzuki motorcycle. Roberts was riding in the northern direction in the outside lane of South Florida Avenue when he began to increase his speed. As a result, the front wheel of the motorcycle came off the ground.

The other motorist, Sarah Parades, age 30, was operating a silver 2013 Chevrolet Traverse in the southern direction when she made a left turn into the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts. As Parades was making the turn, the motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the SUV. Roberts was ejected from the motorcycle, and fell on the roadway. He was transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
