Yorgo Foods Inc. Recalls Flavors of Hummus Due To Health Risk

Yorgo Foods Inc. of Manchester NH recently recalled specific varieties of Hummus and Baba Ghannouj due to a potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination. This organism may cause serious, potentially fatal, infections in small children, the sick or elderly citizens, and anyone with a compromised immune system. Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms like high fever, severe headache, abdominal pain, or diarrhea. Listeria infection is specifically dangerous for pregnant women as it may cause miscarriages or stillbirths.

Figi’s Recalls Treat Because of Undeclared Milk Allergen

Figi’s Companies, Inc of Marshfield, WI recalled two products related to a GKI FOODS LLC Dark Chocolate Products recall: Christmas Gingersnap Variety Tin Can and Gingersnap Bulk Package. The GKI FOOD LLC product may contain a previously undeclared dairy allergen. People with an allergy or extreme sensitivity to dairy face serious risks and may experiences a life-threatening reaction after consuming these items.

OshKosh Recalls Quilted Jacket Because of a Choking Hazard

OshKosh issued a recall for the Baby B’gosh Quilted Jacket because of the potential for a choking hazard. The company fielded three complaints regarding a snap detaching, with one child reportedly placing the loose snap fixture in her mouth. The company warns consumers to take the jackets away from their kids immediately and back to any OshKosh or Carter’s location, or contact OshKosh directly for compensation.

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods Issues Voluntary Recall Due To Potential Health Risk

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods LLC. of Front Royal, Virginia has voluntarily issued a recall for its Frozen Organic Fine Whole Green Beans, citing potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes as the cause. The Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection conducted a scheduled sampling and found a single positive result of Listeria monocytogenes in a retail bag, prompting the voluntary recall. Nature’s Touch stopped all production and distribution for the product to cooperate with the FDA in completing this recall.

Norco Bicycles Issues Recall Due to Fall Hazard

Norco Bicycles has recalled all children’s bicycles equipped with the Samox cranksets. The company reported four claims indicating cranks fracturing or bending, causing injuries. The company indicated that consumers should cease use of the recalled equipment and contact an authorized Norco Bicycles dealer to schedule a new crankset installation at no cost to them.

GKI Issues Allergy Alert for Product

Germack Roasting Co has recalled all 5 ounce and 1 lb. packages of Germack Dark Chocolate Almond Bark due to an undeclared allergen: milk. People with dairy allergies face increased risk for a potentially life-threatening reaction upon consumption of the product. Until the FDA and the company agree that the problem has been resolved, the product is in suspension.
