Biker Killed In Pensacola Accident

WEAR ABC Channel 3 News reported recently that a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Bluffs Drive on the evening of Sunday May 9, 2021 led to the death of a motorcyclist.

According to a press release issued by officials with the Pensacola Police Department, the incident occurred between 4:55 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Bluffs Drive in Pensacola. A car and a motorcycle collided, and Pensacola EMS personnel medically transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries. The motorcyclist succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident shortly thereafter.

The accident blocked Scenic Highway between Hyde Park Road and Logan Drive while cleanup and investigation efforts were underway, with police officers diverting traffic. The investigation is currently ongoing.

The four people transported to hospitals included at least one trauma patient. Details were not released regarding the specifics or cause of the accident or how many vehicles were involved.
