The CW 34 West Palm Beach News reported recently that an elderly Boynton Beach man was killed on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Boynton Beach, Florida in a motor vehicle collision.
According to officials with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on Friday, January 12, 2021 between 2:30 p.m. and 2:35 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) at the intersection of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Cedar Point Boulevard in Boynton Beach. A Boynton Beach man, 97 years of age, was driving west on Boynton Beach Boulevard approaching the traffic light at the intersection while another Boynton Beach man was driving east on Boynton Beach Boulevard at the same time. The 97-year-old driver made an unlawful left turn against the right of way of the other vehicle and the two vehicles collided.
The elderly man was medically transported to Delray Medical Center while the other driver and his passenger, a woman of unreported age, were taken to Bethesda West, all for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident. The elderly man later died as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision. No report was made of the condition of the two occupants of the vehicle his vehicle collided with.
