Reward Offered In Hit-And-Run Accident

Fox Orlando Channel 35 News reported recently that weeks after a recent motor vehicle accident near the Palm Bay exit of Interstate 95 left a man in critical condition, his family has offered a substantial reward to encourage any eyewitnesses to come forward with information about a tractor-trailer that left the scene of the accident.

According to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol and local law enforcement agencies, the incident took place on the morning of Friday, February 5, 2021 near Palm Bay, Florida. A man 22 years of age was driving home on Interstate 95 near the south exit for Palm Bat when he was involved in a multi-vehicle collision, which began when he was rear-ended at a high rate of speed. Another vehicle hit the first two, and then an eighteen-wheeler plowed into the accident scene with enough force to literally rip the vehicle the victim had been riding in in half, causing severe injuries to the victim.

The truck driver fled the scene of the accident and authorities are searching for the truck that hit him, which was described as a white tractor towing a green trailer, with the tractor having sustained front-end damage in the impact. The family’s attorney believes the truck driver exited the interstate and hid somewhere in Brevard or Orange County, and has offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the truck driver being found.
