ClickOrlando.com / WKMG News Channel 6 also reported that a second, unrelated motor vehicle accident on Sunday, March 14 could lead to charges for one driver after he was allegedly involved in an accident with a Tampa Police Department patrol unit.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident allegedly occurred on Sunday morning when an Orlando man supposedly stopped in the middle of Interstate 75. A Tampa Police Department patrol unit rear-ended him, causing both vehicles to spin out on the interstate. The Tampa Police Department cruiser was then struck by a third vehicle. The Orlando man and his passenger suffered minor injuries and no one else was injured.
The man now has charges pending for his role in the accident. No explanation was offered for why the police are blaming him for the accident when it’s almost universally known that rear-ending someone is the fault of the following car.
