WKRG CBS News Channel 5 reported recently that a fatal motor vehicle accident occurred in Okaloosa County, Florida on the afternoon of Monday, March 22, 2021 that claimed the life of a man from Saint Cloud, Minnesota along the shoulder of Interstate 10.
According to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident took place between 4:10 a.m. and 4:15 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Monday, March 22, 2021 along the westbound travel lanes of Interstate 10 near mile marker 54. A man from Saint Cloud, Minnesota, 29 years of age, was walking along the shoulder adjacent to the outside traffic lane of I-10 when he was fatally struck by a motor vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Okaloosa EMS.
Yahoo! News reported recently that a pedestrian was killed along Interstate 4 on Friday, March 19, 2021 when he was struck by a car in the travel lanes of the interstate.
Officials from the Florida Highway Patrol stated the man was near mile marker 21 of Interstate 4, walking southbound, entered the path of a sedan traveling south in the inside lane of the highway around 9:00 p.m. on Friday. He was killed by the impact, while a teenage passenger in the sedan suffered minor injuries.
